I bring 17+ years of higher education experience and currently lead the University of Edinburgh’s Student Immigration Service, supporting sponsored international students and issuing around CAS each year. I manage a team of 10 staff, co-develop annual team plans, and provide senior leadership with transparent data that tracks our ability to meet recruitment and compliance targets.Key achievements include delivering 24/7 CAS issuance dashboards that enable faster, evidence-based decision-making and leading an internal audit of student records that strengthened compliance with UKVI sponsor duties, safeguarding the University’s sponsor licence.Beyond Edinburgh, I co-lead the Scottish & Northern Irish Immigration Compliance Network and contribute to the ARC UKVI Practitioners Group, shaping national policy on CAS, remote delivery, agent oversight, and scholarship reporting.
