Collaborated closely with geologists and geophysicists to identify key formations with high-integrity caprock in the Post-Rift and Syn-Rift Jeanne d’Arc Basin, supporting dynamic modeling of CO₂ storage potential and migration pathways.• Automated the extraction of over well log, pressure, temperature, and core sample records from CNLOER (former CNLOPB) and Basin websites using Python, organizing them into a structured database by well for the Atlantic Canada CO₂ storage project.• Created a Python-based master spreadsheet indexing well log files across 300+ wells in the Jeanne d’Arc Basin, significantly accelerating quad combo log identification for Petrel imports.• Developed statistical scripts in Python to validate key log parameters (e.g, Gamma ray, Resistivity, Porosity, Density), ensuring consistency between raw and external datasets prior to Petrel integration.• Performed quality control and upscaling of well logs using available core data; validated geological surfaces against well tops for static modeling and reservoir characterization to quantify the Prospective Storage Resources Followed SPE’s CO₂ Storage Resource Management System (SRMS).• Quantifying CO₂ storage capacity of potential formations, including post-rift and syn-rift reservoirs in the Jeanne d’Arc Basin, through volumetric analysis, material balance equations (MBE), and dynamic simulations to assess storage feasibility with Petrel.• Conducting compositional modeling to calculate the contributions of various CO₂ trapping mechanisms such as Residual, Structural, and Dissolution of supercritical CO₂—providing a detailed understanding of storage efficiency by Petrel.• Regularly presented technical updates and literature insights to the Principal Investigator and collaborators, creating clear flowcharts and presentation slides to streamline team communication, clarify workflows, and prioritize project tasks.
