ABOUT HAMIDEH HANNAH HAYATI
I am a Chemical Engineering PhD candidate at Oklahoma State University (OSU) focusing on computational fluid dynamics (CFD). My 6 years of CFD experience and my interests in different engineering applications have prepared me to be a successful CFD Engineer. Through my projects, I have numerically analysed/simulated fluid flow for different simple and complex geometries/environments applied in different industries. For my Master’s project, I focused on simulating particulate turbulent gas flows in ducts and on wavy plates by coupling Ansys Fluent and an in-house MATLAB program (developed by me). And, now that I am pursuing my Ph.D, my focus is on humid airflow and droplets/particles thermodynamics in complex respiratory systems with static/dynamic boundaries. Post processing the results with Ansys CFD-Post and Tecplot and preparing nice, understandable, and self-explanatory figures and graphs and publishing them in peer-reviewed journal papers have always been very important parts of my research efforts throughout my advance educations.
