ABOUT HAMEEM KAWSAR
After graduating from medical school, I worked in the field of prokaryotic gene regulation as a Ph.D. student, and cancer immunobiology as a postdoctoral research fellow. The purposeful combination of studying pathogen and host was to better understand the molecular mechanism of infection-associated malignancy. After completion of residency training in Internal Medicine, I served as an Associate Program Director for Internal Medicine Residency Program as well as the Medical Director of Resident\'s Outpatient Clinic. I also served as the Director of Residents\' Research and Scholarly activities. I also completed clinical fellowship in Hematology and Oncology. Now, I serve as the founding Program Director of Internal Medicine Residency Program where besides overseeing the residency program, I continue clinical practice in Medical Oncology and participate in multi-institutional collaborative cancer research.
