ABOUT HAMDULLAH BAYCAR
I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of International Relations at Karadeniz Technical University.I completed my Ph.D. in the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies at the University of Exeter, UK. My Ph.D. project was about the examination of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) identity construction. Orientalism, Colonialism, and Post-Colonialism are among my interest research.I graduated from the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University, the US in 2017. During my MA, I have participated in several fieldwork and exchange programs in Jordan, Tunisia, and China. Before joining Harvard, I graduated from Abant Izzet Baysal University (AIBU), Turkey with honors in International Relations in 2013. While studying at AIBU, I studied for one semester in Poland at the University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz as an exchange student in Politics Department.
