ABOUT HAMBAL IQBAL
Mechanical Engineer specializing in metal additive manufacturing and process optimization, with experience spanning gas industry operations to advanced AM R&D in Europe. I focus on turning lab‑scale processes into robust, repeatable industrial solutions for real parts in demanding applications (energy, biomedical, and heavy industry). Over the last years I have optimized LPBF, WAAM and DED processes, led DOE‑driven parameter development, and applied FEA and data analytics to improve quality, reduce scrap, and shorten development cycles. Earlier in my career I worked on turbomachinery operation, commissioning, and maintenance in the gas sector, which gave me a strong foundation in reliability, safety, and plant operations. Core strengths: metal AM process development and qualification, design for additive manufacturing, finite element analysis, materials characterization, in‑situ and post‑process quality control, and cross‑functional project management. I enjoy working closely with production, quality, and design teams to industrialize new materials and processes, transfer know‑how, and support customers. I am currently looking for industrial roles such as Additive Manufacturing Engineer, Process/Manufacturing Engineer, or R&D Engineer, where I can bridge academic innovation with factory‑floor implementation.
