About Halley Knigge

I\'m an experienced communications professional and people leader based in the Pacific Northwest, with experience in nonprofits, airlines/aviation, health care, journalism, retail and the outdoor industry, at organizations big and small. As a human, my core values are follow-through (being someone who shows up, consistently and with enthusiasm) and being additive to my community and society. That\'s why you\'ll never see me without a civic service or philanthropic side hustle and why, if I accept your invitation to happy hour, you know I will be there. As a businessperson, my no. 1 goal is to leave the working world better for women and underrepresented groups who come after me. I want whatever company and industry I happen to be working in to be the best, most inclusive versions of themselves. As a leader, my mantra is authenticity and empowerment. I\'ve lived a lot of life and have a lot of experience to share, but I know my experience isn\'t your experience. I\'ll be the first to tell you \"I don\'t know,\" and I\'m never afraid to ask the hard questions or stand up for what I believe is right. I remind my team every day that their work is not their top priority. I truly believe that we can\'t do our best work if we don\'t take care of our humanity (and our biological needs-long live snacking in meetings!) first. As a communications professional, I love to craft a sharp strategy that turns a middling story into a brilliant business move, and to help elevate one-off announcements into big, holistic brand stories. My favorite projects are the ones where it\'s my job to convince the rest of the world that impactful climate or DEI work is the key to leading a smart and sustainable business.
