About Halle Clottey
I have always loved math and thinking critically about the problems that exist in our society. Technology—most specifically—has the power to change the world; in many ways, it already has. But with the growth and integration of technological devices in our daily lives, it is surprising that technology and social justice still seem to be mutually exclusive. I aim to invest my time in this intersection so that I can explore the many ways in which I can use my knowledge of computer science to further advance education in underserved communities while ultimately promoting social justice. Outside of tech, I dedicate a lot of my time to mentoring marginalized high school students through an organization called Model Congress. I am determined to empower these individuals by helping improve their public speaking and debate skills while also giving them the tools necessary to be civically engaged. I will continue to concentrate my energy on improving myself technically and socially so that I can help create a better tomorrow for the people in my community.
