ABOUT HALIT OZER
As a dedicated mental health professional with a Master’s degree from the University of Toronto, I am accredited by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Specializing in treating PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and the psychological impacts of motor vehicle accidents (MVA), I employ Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Currently, I seek part-time, remote, or hybrid psychotherapy opportunities, offering flexible hours including late afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Fluent in English and Turkish, I aim to positively impact a diverse clientele. My approach integrates the POISESⒽ method, promoting physical activity, occupational fulfillment, intellectual growth, social connections, emotional resilience, and spiritual exploration. I tailor therapeutic interventions to individual client needs, facilitating significant improvements through personalized therapy plans and evidence-based practices. At Naseeha Muslim Youth Helpline and E Clinic United Healing, I provide therapy to clients affected by MVAs, including detailed assessments, personalized treatment plans, online counseling, and collaboration with healthcare professionals for comprehensive recovery. As founder of LightHouse Healing & Therapy Inc, I led efforts to address PTSD, anxiety, depression, family dynamics, and trauma, specializing in marginalized, racialized, and minority communities, integrating religious and spiritual support into therapy. My role as a Spiritual Care Practitioner at Toronto East Detention Center involved offering emotional and religious support to inmates, facilitating religious services, and providing pastoral care, underscoring my commitment to promoting personal growth in challenging environments. Deeply committed to professional development, I regularly engage in learning activities to enhance my psychotherapy skills and knowledge, ensuring the highest quality care in line with the Professional Practice Standards for Registered Psychotherapists. Passionate about integrating spiritual care with psychotherapy, I strive to become the first Muslim chaplain with a mental health focus in the Canadian Armed Forces, providing inclusive, compassionate care that transcends faith, gender, sexual identity, and race. With a commitment to empathy, precision, and client well-being, I am dedicated to helping individuals achieve mental tranquility, emotional stability, and personal growth. If you seek flexible, compassionate, and effective support, I would be honored to work with you. Ⓗ
