About Halia Boyden

While I have just begun my higher education as a psychology major at University of Arizona, my time in high school proves the drive and passion I have for betting myself and others. During my time as a student at Liberty North High School, not only have I participated in the on and off-campus Educational Internship Program (EIP), I have also been a part time food service employee for over 3/4\'s of my high school career. I\'ve been able to combine my skills of taking charge in a work place while also making customers and my community feel comfortable, and put it to the test in an 8th grade Algebra 1 classroom, the pinnacle time of uncomfortable growing in a teenagers life. Learning and adapting to changes in a hardworking manner has been a huge aspect of my life ever since I became a child of parents in two different states. My parents were able to still provide the care and love for me, despite the state lines that distanced us, which has heavily inspired me to become a trustworthy, loving figure in an adolescents life who isn\'t fortunate enough to have that parental figure. In these new era, the young brain can be so quick to deteriorate to mental health issues, which is why I\'m ready to jump the gun on doing my small part in aiding those kids to live their life as themselves, not as anxiety or depression.Juggling various responsibilities at once is a skill that has come natural to me over the years. While being a student and a food service employee, I have also been an all-year-round competitive dancer since I was 7, and a varsity track athlete the past 3 years of high school. During all of which, I have been able to manage a cumulative GPA of a 4.0, and am now ranked 1st out of 539 of my classmates, along with the other top students in my class. Reviewing my education, extracurriculars, and my own history with mental health, all of these factors have driven me to have a natural passion for the way the mind works and why we do the things we do. More specifically, I\'m passionate about helping those with emotional issues, whether it be a diagnosed mental illness or not.

   Dynamic Logistix

   Aug 2025 — Present · Tucson, AZ, US

   Serve as the studios resident hip-hop faculty member, where I teach weekly classes to competitive and recreational dancers from ages 5-18- Choreograph original routines for showcases, as well as provide choreography and technique classes- Collaborate with other studio staff and assist in artistic direction and performance preparation.
