Provide comprehensive care for pediatric patients admitted with general surgery and trauma conditions, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and post-operative needs• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (surgeons, residents, nurses, therapists, social workers) to develop and implement individualized care plans• Perform daily patient rounds, update families on progress, and coordinate discharge planning to ensure safe transitions of care• Manage and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and lab results to guide clinical decision-making• Conduct procedures such as wound care, drain management, suture/staple removal, and pain management interventions• Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, post-operative care, injury prevention, and recovery expectations• Serve as a clinical resource for staff nurses, residents, and medical students regarding pediatric trauma and surgical patient care• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pediatric trauma guidelines and surgical protocols to deliver evidence-based care• Support Level I Pediatric Trauma Center standards by responding to trauma ones and providing rapid clinical assessment and stabilization
