About Haley Rose Barlow
Scientific storytelling is my passion. I use my expertise as a PhD-trained cell and molecular biologist alongside my skills as a communicator to amplify the impact of scientific research.My experiences have allowed me to hone my critical thinking, project management, mentoring, creative and problem solving skills. Additionally, as anyone who has done a Ph.D. knows.I have had lots of opportunities to learn how to fail productively and how to persevere in the face of significant roadblocks.I\'ve built on all this experience as the Sr. Program Manager of Outreach at the UMass Chan Medical School Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biotechnology. During my time at UMass Chan, I\'ve had the opportunity to put my passion into practice and learn the ropes of institutional science communication. I am a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (2017), I speak Italian, I love dogs, and I have a passion for diversity, equity and inclusion work (especially within science).
