Responsible for two (2) hospitals, comprising over employees, and numerous ambulatory off-sites. Enforce eight (8) distinct collective bargaining agreements, as well as all Human Resources policies. Lead negotiator for Local 971 Security Officer contract, achieving transition to Paid Time Off (PTO) program and Hospital health benefits. Active participant in NYSNA, 1199SEIU, Local 810, and Local 30 collective bargaining, including bargaining sessions, costing, drafting proposals, and contract integration. Lead role in numerous programs and initiatives, including NYS Healthcare Worker Bonus (HWB) Program, Voluntary Early Retirement Program (VERP), and Shared Work Program. Responded to tens of thousands of email inquiries from staff, acted as liaison with State representatives, performed legal research, provided program recommendations, and answered live questions at town halls. Orchestrate Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) Policy Committee meetings. Update policies and connect with stakeholders. Key member of Labor Pool Team to ensure adequate staffing during labor strike and at the height of COVID-19. Lead investigator / Mount Sinai representative in several litigations, including discrimination claims, FLSA challenges, and grievance arbitrations. Hearing Officer for disciplinary and contractual grievances, as well as Title IX appeal. Investigate complaints of discrimination, harassment, and leave abuse. Advise management in labor and employment matters including discipline, contractual rights, and legal compliance. Liaison between management, corporate HR, and staff to resolve outstanding benefit matters. Manage reductions in force, including regulatory compliance, notices, and displacement fairs.
