Serve as Principal at ILMARINEN, a turnkey consultancy firm spun out of Vulcan Inc. to perpetuate Paul Allen\'s vision of creating low-cost, high-performance UAVs to combat poaching in Africa- Manage a dynamic team of 9 staff and a $9M budget- Oversee the development of multiple battery electric airframes-from concept to deployment- Engineer UAVs ranging from small, hand-launched aircraft to twin motor catapult-launched, and aircraft that transition from VTOL to long endurance, fixed-wing flight- Foster customer base collaborations with some of the largest firms in aviation, from Boeing to Airbus.SELECT IMPACTS- Designed Insitu Valiant eVTOL, optimized to perform 25% better than the competition at only 25% of their cost. UAV is currently in production at Aurora Flight Sciences as the Skyron-X.
