About Hailin du
As a Business Analytics graduate student and a data scientist, I enjoy acting like a detective discovering interesting, new insights from data. As I learn more about data science, I understand how crucial humanities play a role in leveraging the power of Machine learning. I am fascinated by understanding each dataset, observation; enjoy the moment overtaken by joyfulness while overcoming obstacles and building optimized models to solve real-world problems.Starting from my data science journey, I have handled many large, messy datasets, which developed the data scientist mindset, framework, and skills that prepared me to supervise and handle real-world data. More importantly, I always feel excited about translating my findings to my classmates, professors, and prospects. Utilize the power of data visualization and able to tell a good story in terms of communication is another aspect that I love working as a data scientist.I have been working and learning programming languages, machine learning, data visualization tools, and cloud computing services constantly for years.Programming: Python, R, SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle SQL, Hive, MongoDB), C++, Pentaho (ETL Data Integration), Hadoop, Spark, PySpark, Docker, Google BigQuery, Linux (Ubuntu, Terminal), Git/Github, BitbucketLibraries: Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-Learn, PyArrow, Dask, Vaex, XGBoost, LightGBM, Matplotlib/Seaborn, Beautiful Soup, H2O, NLTK, TensorFlow, Keras, Flask, Faker, BentoML, MLflow, Apache AirflowData Science: Bootstrapping, Hypothesis Testing, A/B Testing, Statistical Modeling, Model Evaluation, Cross-ValidationsMachine Learning: Linear/Logistic Regression, K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Long Short Term Memory (LSTM), Random Forests, Gradient Boosting, Classification, Autoregressive Integrated Moving-Average (ARIMA, Seasonal ARIMA), Cluster Analysis (K-Means), Association Rule LearningCloud Computing: Amazon Web Services (AWS), IBM Watson Machine Learning Accelerator, Google CloudData Visualization: Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Infographics, Microsoft Visio
