ABOUT HAILEY WEHNER

I currently serve as the Environmental Excellence Intern at dsm-firmenich, where I support corporate sustainability initiatives, including renewable energy certificate management, water risk assessments, and climate change reporting. Alongside my expertise in environmental science and sustainability, I also have a passion for food science. Food science captivates me because it seamlessly merges my lifelong passion for cooking with my innate curiosity for scientific exploration.I am a full-time student studying sustainability science at Montclair State University, with a minor in food science and nutrition. At school, I am learning more about the topics that interest me while also strengthening some of my skills. Besides being a general member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, I have also previously held four chair positions. My involvement in this sorority encourages me to work together with others, communicate between alumni and members, be a leader, and be able to present information to the group. In addition, the classes I am taking have helped me improve my organization and time management skills so that I can properly tackle the material while staying up-to-date with all of the work I have for my classes.As I\'m finishing my degree, I hope to continue to gain knowledge and skills as I prepare for the professional world. After college, I hope to work in food science, applying my passion for experimentation and innovation to contribute to the development of a healthier, more sustainable future.
