As a software engineer at Qualtrics, I use code as a tool to solve complex customer issues and business problems for my development team. I maintain close relationships with peers, higher-ups, customers, and other stakeholders, and I meet regularly with product managers to contribute to engineering-led product improvements. I am passionate about the user experience of my team\'s products, and I value collaboration, innovation, and learning. I joined Qualtrics after graduating from Duke University, where I majored in Environmental Engineering and Earth and Ocean Sciences. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, skiing, camping, reading, and spending time with my friends, family, and dog.

   I write and maintain code and hardware resources across 4 services, contained in dozens of microservices written in various code languages.I am responsible for the initial triage investigation of all bugs filed and to ensure all issues are resolved within SLA, in many cases bringing the issue to full resolution myself. The product line is owned by a team of 60 engineers and used by thousands of customers globally.I optimize and refine our architecture to drive maximum performance. I spearheaded the end to end effort of adding a new UI search bar in the Qualtrics product, from the initial inception, design, front and backend development, testing, and launch of the feature. I reduced technical debt by identifying and removing billions of unneeded rows of data from DynamoDB. This led to performance improvements for a dependent team and for our customers. I have assisted product managers in the launch and deprecation of several product lines, both within and outside of my team\'s service offerings. Other examples of this are: tracking errors from downstream services and resolving them, adding efficiencies to data collection, simplifying service deployments by migrating to CI/CD, and driving Engineering-led product improvements. I represent my software development team when interfacing with internal and external customers, maintaining close relationships with peers including engineers, product managers, UX designers, and directors across the engineering organization. I am responsible for the quality, availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, and emergency response of my team\'s product line and services.
