About Hailey Moll

As a scientist-turned-policymaker, I want to utilize my passion for communicating science to others in order to raise literacy and motivate action on environmental challenges. As a recent graduate of Columbia University SIPA\'s MPA in Environmental Science and Policy, I now aim to harness my communication skills and scientific foundations in policymaking and public sector processes. I want to transform my learnings into a career in the public, private, or nonprofit sector, driving change through sound science that is well-disseminated and integrated into efficient policy solutions. My foundations in science communication stem from drawing on my extensive years in environmental and ecological sciences and research to effectively teach classroom students. Through my time in public education, I discovered that connecting with people, finding out what motivates them, and leveraging that lights a spark in me. It is a skill that has lended itself well in my work in the nonprofit sector as well, to lobby, advocate, and publicize written and digital communications. At my core, I’m a fundamental empath, with attention-to-detail and ambition to create solutions for critical issues.
