About Hailey Diaz
Hello! As a recent alumni of Duke University, I am interested in expanding into global health, through empowering the medically vulnerable and the organizations that serve them. I graduated Duke in 2016, with a BA in Global Health and Spanish. I am passionate about health promotion and disease prevention, with a particular interest in chronic diseases and working with the Latino community. Currently seeking opportunities in global health, where I can utilize my interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills to engage patients and important stakeholders, successfully implement change, and help interventions and non-profits achieve their goals and objectives.My work experience includes- Research, investigating the effectiveness of digital-health based weight maintenance interventions at the Duke Global Digital Health Science Center - Working as a Teaching Assistant for Global Health 101, an introductory course for first and second year students at Duke University - Events Intern at the Piedmont Triad chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, while also helping to fundraise, promote the chapter’s social media, and maintain important donor and recipient relationships - Building meaningful relationships through collaboration and teamwork, whether through domestic and abroad research or group programs.
