Veteran automotive analyst specializing in short- and long-term vehicle demand and production outlooks. I put emphasis on product plans, manufacturer production capabilities, vehicle inventory, product mix, seasonal trends and history. Also, apply economics, product/powertrain strategies, government regulations and learned market nuances. Originally a reporter and data analyst for Wards Automotive Reports. Eventually became Managing Editor, which entailed reporting and editing, as well as ensuring weekly product was put out on time, including making sure weekly and monthly data sets were on time and published on schedule. Began shifting more of my emphasis to developing data products and increasing analysis, finally transitioning to a new position created at Wards of market analyst with a focus on creating more added value for our data products. Gained additional experience over a five-year period when I temporarily left Wards to work at Global Insight, General Motors and Dana. Returned to Wards in 2011.

   Primary responsibilities are current vehicle sales and production analysis and vehicle-based global forecasts related to powertrain, ADAS, connectivity, factory-installed equipment. Routine responsibilities include maintaining North America Assembly Plant Capacity outlook, future North American product cycle chart and helping maintain integrity of Wards Intelligence database. Directly work on or support special reports and consultation projects, write industry analyses for forecast products, subscription web site and special reports. Give presentations at Wards Intelligence and industry conferences, and for clients, government agencies and industry trade groups. Also provide customer support through on-site visits, teleconferences, via email/phone.
