About Hadi Yaziji
I am a pathologist based in Miami, FL. I sub-specialize in breast pathology and predictive tumor biomarkers. I began my career at U. of Damascus Medical School. I crossed the Atlantic in 1990 and did my residency in combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Louisville. My career at U of L was culminated by my induction into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. I then traveled to the West Coast of the US and did a fellowship in surgical pathology and IHC and a second fellowship in breast pathology-both at the University of Washington. I did a third fellowship in cytopathology at MD Anderson Cancer Center. I participated in the ASCO/CAP task force and other consensus groups related to HER2, ER and optimization of tissue handling for proper predictive biomarkers testing. Currently I am on the board of directors at ISIMM, and assist a few biotechnology companies with functions related to biomarker testing. I founded and have been serving as the Medical Director at Vitro Molecular Laboratories since 2006. My academic work (publications, presentations and teaching of path residents) reflects my passion and expertise in breast pathology, IHC, FISH and predictive biomarkers. I am also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society since 1996. Specialties: Breast Pathology, Surgical Pathology, Companion Diagnostics, Immunohistochemistry, FISH, Targeted Therapy.
