About Haden Loveridge
I love to find flaws. Flaws in the world, flaws in companies, flaws in the processes, flaws in data, flaws in logic, but especially flaws in myself. I love it because it means there\'s a new method to be applied, something out there to improve it, a problem to be solved, or something better that hasn’t been discovered- Growing up working for an entrepreneur father who ran a small construction company, I learned to find flaws in materials and think of ways to swap them for better ones. I saw flaws in how employees were trained and used my Spanish to better communicate with them to increase productivity. I especially enjoyed looking for flaws in quotes, pay structure, and billing as I picked my dad’s brain about operating a business- From being a salesperson of home internet to pest control, I\'ve learned to find flaws in myself. I quickly found that being shy was not an attribute of a high-performing salesperson, and I learned to get out of my shell and connect with people. I found flaws in how I let my surroundings dictate how I performed. I had to learn to “pony up” and work through sickness, “not feeling it,” rejection, and underperformance to improve my mental state and perform regardless of circumstances. My favorite flaw was in the way reps were trained. I sought to bridge my gap between training and application and found training techniques to increase my (and my rep\'s) revenue production- As a student at Utah State University, I have found flaws in how I learned. There is no feeling more helpless than not knowing what you don’t know, and here I found I knew almost nothing. The flawed way I studied (cramming in a late-night Quizlet before a midterm or playing 2048 on a laptop during a lecture) quickly adapted to strategies of knowledge retention and application. Don’t get me started on thinking I’d be a civil engineer; that flaw was short-lived. Kudos to any engineers out there that made it through school. Luckily, I found my place at the Jon M. Huntsman Business School at USU with data and systems.Overall, it\'s not the flaws that I love but the opportunity to see things around me improve and succeed. That’s my hope, with an educational background in information systems and consulting, to bring new opportunities for improvement to companies I work with through data and analysis. My true joy, I’ve found, is being a part of change for the better. But that’s only possible where we can find the flaws.
