ABOUT HADEEL MOHAMED

I am a clinical academic & portfolio pharmacist with a career spanning hospital practice, primary care, and applied research. I am driven by a commitment to safer, more person-centred medication use, with a particular focus on supporting patient involvement and encouraging self-management where possible. With expertise in polypharmacy, medicines optimisation, and post-discharge care, I have held senior roles across sectors, including Deputy Head of Pharmacy & Education Lead for the South & East Leeds GP Group and clinical lead for the Health Innovation Network Polypharmacy Programme across Yorkshire & Humber.Alongside my clinical leadership, I am an active researcher using qualitative, behaviourally-informed methodologies to understand and improve how patients self-manage their medication. My work develops practical tools, insights, and educational approaches that support shared decision-making and self-management.I am also the Founder of ENIGMA, a mentoring initiative that supports ethnically diverse (global majority) female pharmacy professionals to enhance their leadership skills, reflecting my commitment to inclusive practice, equity, and representation in healthcare. As a mentor, educator, researcher, and inclusive leadership advocate, I combine frontline experience, research evidence, and systems-level thinking to shape safer, fairer, and more person-centred pharmacy practice.
