ABOUT HEATHER ACKER
An entrepreneur and advocate for community involvement, Heather Acker is a champion for providing inclusivity and support for women in business. To her credit, in the last 8 years, Heather has co-founded 5 companies that all actively support her vision, as well as give back to the community in multiple capacities. In 2012, Heather Co-founded, a digital media company, where she broke down barriers in a male-dominated IT industry. She is active in the Saint John business community, and as a leader and mentor she uses her leadership qualities to encourage other women to engage in new opportunities and business ventures. In 2014 she co-founded ConnexionWorks, an open collaborative business entrepreneurial workplace in the heart of Saint John NB. Heather saw the need for a community work spot for students and solopreneurs that fosters growth instead of competition. July 2018 saw the launch of her fourth (4th) venture, an educational company that specializes in providing digital marketing training to entrepreneurs and business individuals so that they can run their own businesses more efficiently with this knowledge, and to make it much easier to turn a ROI in business profits. As a committed business and community leader, she actively volunteers with local non-profits to raise awareness and sustainability for their cause and needs, some such as: New Brunswick Mental Health Foundation, ONE Change, Family Resource Center, Red Cross, PRO Kids, YMCA Development team, CBDC Women in Business, SJMNRC, and Scotiabank Women in Business, to name a few.
