About Habil Damania

As a kid, I always dreamt of being an Astronaut. I started reading books about Astronomy, started following articles on space, and even now, I do all of that. However, being someone who gets motion sickness, I knew that being an Astronaut was not the best thing for me. That\'s when I thought that I could rather be a Software Engineer as software is the the core of any technology. Even a satellite that goes in space needs to have a robust software written so that it can do the duties that it is meant to. And that\'s when it happened; the spark that I was missing ignited the moment I started playing with my first programming language (C++). I was in Jr. College when I developed my first computer game in C++(which was just a simple snake game), and since then, I just couldn\'t get enough.This spark got me pursuing Computer Engineering as my major in Undergrad and later it was Machine Learning and AI that got me to pursue a Masters Degree in Computer Science. Since then, I have grown to be a Software Engineering Professional whose worked in some amazing companies, both, as an Intern and now as a full time Software Engineer. My specialties include quickly learning new technologies and programming languages. I like to work across the stack and consider myself to be highly proficient in developing robust software solutions that exceed end user needs. I have extensive experience working in Java, C++, Typescript, Javascript, Python, Ruby, PhP and Go and frameworks such as React, Angular, Flask, Node, Express, Rails and Springboot. I am also skilled in handling huge data using MySQL, MongoDB and cloud based offerings such as Azure and AWS. In my day to day, I work with version control tools (github, gitlab), CI/CD, Dockers and project management tools such as Youtrack and Jira.Outside work, I love travelling and solving jigsaw puzzles.
