In my role as Sub-Editor, I am responsible for upholding a high editorial standard across all of the digital platforms on which Radio Times operates – including its website, social media, newsletters and more. This involves ensuring copy is grammatically flawless, legally sound, and reads as well as possible for our audience. Further to this, I have taken on a content editor role on weekends, helping to run news shifts as the senior figure in a small team to cover breaking news outside of regular working hours. I have also helped to create content myself across a range of media, interviewing big stars such as David Schwimmer and Ruth Wilson, including to camera, and representing the RT brand by providing expert analysis for other outlets including BBC Radio. Alongside this, I have written reviews for major shows such as Fallout and Goosebumps and timely comment pieces for series ranging from Death in Paradise to Star Wars.
