   Within Hoar Construction, our projects are either building new, renovating existing or expanding on what’s already there. We do this on many different types of projects across our many different regions. Our projects include science and lab projects, multifamily high-rises, healthcare, higher education, light industry, retail and several others. My role within Hoar Construction is working within our QA/QC department as MEP Manager providing assistance/guidance/direction when and where needed on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm, controls, TAB to name a few. These responsibilities range greatly from project to project. When called on I assist our project teams on items such as: project proposals and presentations, offering assistance reviewing trade partner contractors’ contracts reviewing submittals and project schedules, reviewing contract drawings and specifications assisting with pre-job and pre-installation meetings making QA/QC site visits provide assistance with the coordination of equipment start-up, and or running systems during construction provide assistance with coordination with the controls and the test and balance and fire alarm contractors assist with 3rd party commissioning or provide systems verification One thing is, that my job is never boring and I get to meet and work with some great people within our company as well as in our industry. Whether is with trade contractors, manufactures and installers, design engineers and/or commissioning agents.
