ABOUT GWENDOLYN BONILLA
I\'m a part of the transformation of Colorado\'s solid waste system. At Wompost, we collect food scraps and yard waste, along with anything else that can will decompose in a commercial composting facility. We\'re the dirty boots on the ground that\'s making black gold out of waste that would otherwise be put in a landfill and create methane gas. Do you compost? It\'s one of the simplest ways we can all individually contribute to combating climate change. I loved working at DreamSpring, a nonprofit small business lender that promotes sustainable local economic development by providing access to capital and credit to business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. I also cherish the time I spent working with AIESEC where, as both a part-time and full-time volunteer, I had the opportunity to manage the strategic planning process at the local and national level, participate in virtual teams, and plan local and national conferences. The multicultural experience I gained in AIESEC is unparalleled and the contact and network of friends I made around the world will stay with me forever.
