The festival has received awards by the American Bus Association as one of the top 100 national events for the past 26 years. visitors attend events during the festival and the net result is a $10 million economic impact to the West Michigan area. After 25 years of working in the automotive industry I joined Tulip Time as the Executive Director. Responsible for planning and executing this nationally recognized festival celebrating tulips, Dutch Heritage and community. The festival has been recognized as one of the top 100 events in North America by the American Bus Association for the last 26 years. Over half a million visitors attend the festival each year which results in an economic impact of nearly $10 million to the West Michigan area. I continue to be active in the local community serving on the Lakeshore West Coast Chamber of Commerce Athena Award committee, advisory council at Grand Valley University - Kirkhof College of Nursing and many community ad hoc committees.
