ABOUT GWEN SCHANTZ
Entrepreneurial, strategic and creative leader with 20 years of professional experience in mission-driven social enterprise and nonprofit work. For the past 12 years I served as Co-Founder and Principal at Brooklyn Grange, an innovative green business, and world leader in Urban Farming and Green Space Design. In that role, I designed and built dozens of green roofs, urban farms and green spaces; managed large projects, teams, and budgets, and consulted for and presented to real estate developers, architects, designers, government and other corporate groups around the world. I have built a career in service to the environment and to my community, using leadership, design, technical and management skills to push forward large-scale, mission-driven projects. Prior to working in the private sector, I spent years working for NGO\'s oversees and in New York, and I have continued to work with non-profits on a volunteer and partnership basis throughout my time at Brooklyn Grange. Currently, I\'m seeking a full time, mostly remote role with a team that shares my passion and optimism for environmental and social change. Impact is the goal, and I am excited to branch out and learn something new.
