About Gvs Prasad
GVS Prasad was the Founder Director of CfBT Education Services, the Indian affiliate of CfBT Education Trust (renamed as Education Development Trust) one of the top twenty Registered Charities in the United Kingdom. He headed CfBT’s initiatives in India from 2002 to December 2023 - Whole School Improvement Programmes, Teacher Training Programmes, Management Development Programmes for School Heads, Quality Reviews/School Inspections, and English Language Skills Enhancement Programmes for learners at various levels and from varied backgrounds. The organization under his leadership executed a diverse range of projects working with different stakeholders in both the public and private sectors, notable among them being inspection of schools affiliated to Indian Boards in Dubai. Prior to his association with CfBT, he was an active practicing Chartered Accountant with thirteen years of experience in project finance, financial consulting, and promotion of co-operative banks, audits, and taxation. He set up a training institute that trained more than fifty thousand students in communication skills in English and conducted more than fifteen corporate programs.He spearheaded the academic initiatives of Dream India Schools. He has been passionately associated with and pioneered several initiatives for affordable private schools in combined Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.He is Chairman of Rural Development Foundation, an NGO that runs four schools in remote rural and tribal areas for under privileged children.He has now founded Quality Matters in Education (QMiE), a firm that will focus on continuing professional development of teachers, reviving the status of teachers and facilitating their well-being, sharing best practices with educational institutions, and ensuring optimal utilization of modern technology in the classroom.His current interests include strategic advisory services to Saamarthya Foundation, an organization that advocates and works for an equitable and inclusive world for persons with autism and developmental challenges. He is a strategic advisor to Hydenmet Solutions, an Agri-tech company that has developed a Climate Awareness and Action Programme (CLAAP) for schools. CLAAP focuses on putting students at the forefront of action-oriented sustainability initiatives. CLAAP works with School Managements to prepare for the Centre for Science and Environment’s Green School Program and certification.
