About Guy Miller
I bring to the table over 16.5 years of Quality experience. I have always been a people person, a go getter, and have always put much emphasis on learning as much as I can every day. I take great personal pride in all that I do when it comes to my career. I began my Quality career as a Calibration Technician (in 2008) for almost 2 years and in that time I calibrated, repaired and could also accurately use/read every precision measuring tool/gage in the shop. In this position I also spoke with a lot (dozens) of auditors because every auditor wants to know about your calibration system. Then in Nov. 2009 I became a Level II Quality Inspector. In my approximately 15 years as a Quality Inspector I learned many things. I have performed incoming, in-process and final inspections on many Turbine Engine Components and I have created certifications (8130, EASA, CAAC, DAAO-18, SEGVOO-03, Thai DCA, etc.) on over components. I have worked with/on thousands of parts, from over 60 different engines (including, LM1600, LM2500, LM2500+, LMS100-PA/-PB, All CFM56 engines, LEAP-1A/-1B, CF34-8C/-8E/-10E/-RJ/-BJ, CF6-6, CF6-80C/-80E, V2500 A1A5/D5, RB211, F110-100 USAF, F110-129 USAF/Singapore/Korean/Saudi, F135, F404, F110, F119, etc.) for over 300 customers all around the world. I have regularly worked with many parts including critical rotating / life limited rotating aviation components that have functional diameters with tolerances as low as +/- Working with and accurately using precision gages to read tolerances in this range is no problem for me. I understand the importance of cleaning gage blocks and measuring faces on gages prior to using them. I know how to operate CMMs, and know how to operate Faro/Roamer Arms. I have some basic experience creating programs and editing existing CMM/Faro Arm programs. I have used PC-DMIS, Measuremax, Modus, Polyworks, CAM2 and others. I also have experience with CAD software (Solidworks, Siemens NX, etc.). I have used CAD software to view and create 3D models. I have intermediate knowledge of GD & T including measuring True Position by hand when necessary. Anything I don\'t know I could be trained on. I am very trainable and very coachable. I love learning new things so I am like a sponge and absorb anything I am told because I absolutely love having a career in the aviation/aerospace industry. I am enthusiastic about all things manufacturing, machining, quality, aviation and all of the other things related to aviation/component maintenance, repair and overhaul.
