ABOUT GUY BOMMELAER

I help the CEO, COO, Ex VP or Large Projects Control Director of - large organisations or SME or SU - in industry with Complex Products, such as the Armament, Aerospace, Electro nuclear, Automotive sectors to - reassure them that Company\'s High Stakes Projects/ Programmes are well managed and sufficiently Risk proof- if necessary, manage them- make best profit out of opportunities in the Standardisation field- access to French MoD contracts and make sure their risks are kept under control. I\'ve mastered the associated Challenges, notably during a 34 years career within DGA, the French Ministry of Defence and NATO. I want to use my skills to help a Company / Companies develop their business. I developed the following skills: Project/ programme management: o I managed projects with high financial expenses and long durations: about 400 million € yearly, with a global budget of more than 6 billion €, about 20 years duration. I faced suppliers delay announcements; Resolution of problems with all stakeholders: o I solved technical problems affecting airworthiness of in-service aircraft: dedicated efforts allowed operational flights to continue; Contract negotiation and management, in international context: o This comprised leading competition for future acquisition and assessing the deliveries associated to existing contracts; Management of interdisciplinary and international teams, with different cultures: o Deputy General Manager in a NATO agency with 61 persons from 6 different Nations Strategic auditing for the Ex- CO: o I made inquiries to ensure DGA top management that all DGA policies are well applied by the intermediate management and risks are under control; I proposed the resulting course of action; Standardization processes: o I managed the whole Standardization process of the French Ministry of Defence. This included participation to AFNOR and BNAE Boards and promulgation of national defence standards. In order to meet the challenges associated with project/ programme management, I also developed the following personal skills- Drive and determination to achieve success- Sense of responsibility- Reliability- Initiative.
