WORK HISTORY
Co-founder @Associação Departamento Científico Albert Einstein
A few months before my classes actually began, alongside a dedicated team of Veterans and Freshpeople, we founded our Directory on the Medical School to fulfill a lack of academic experience in regards to Congresses, electives, internships and exchange opportunities. From its original horizontal structure we launched our institution with an eye towards its continual improvement, focused on the permanence and legacy it would bear out - in a short while it became an indispensable part of our Faculdade.

ABOUT CARLOS AUGUSTO ROSSETTI
As a dedicated fourth-year medical student in Brazil, I am passionate about surgery and committed to tackling health inequalities, especially in my native region of Vale do Ribeira, São Paulo. Currently, I am taking a sabbatical to pursue a research fellowship at the Spaulding Neuromodulation Center, a hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School, focusing on my skills in clinical trials and biostatistics. I co-founded and helped lead the Albert Einstein Scientific Directory for three and a half years, driving a 20-fold growth in the number of full members while building its charter, processes, and strategies. By organizing conferences, workshops, podcasts, and other virtual and in-person events (some, resounding successes, others quickly forgotten), I gained valuable experience in teamwork and leadership. My background also includes research on patient referral protocols in vascular surgery and volunteering in the Paraisópolis community through a joint MIT/INSPER project, where we helped improve the streets and empower residents. Outside of my professional life, I find joy in the arts, particularly in musical theater and opera, as well as in the appreciation of nerdy interests that I discovered in my rural childhood through the internet. As a deeply extroverted person, I thrive in social environments and value the strong connections I maintain with my friends. As I advance in my journey as a surgical scientist, my goal is to make a lasting impact on the quality of health for disadvantaged communities, focusing on clinical practice and public health policy. If you share similar interests or would like to connect for a possible collaboration, feel free to contact me in English, Portuguese, or Spanish. I am always willing to learn from others and explore new opportunities to make a difference in healthcare: while work isn\'t everything in life, since we have the chance to work with something so fulfilling, I feel we have a moral obligation to deliver our best. Let\'s work together to create a better future for everyone!
