About Gustavo Miranda

I am the first in my family to go and complete college, and to also get a doctorate. My educational background includes a bachelor\'s in Mathematics, Master\'s in Education - Higher Education, and an Doctorate in Business Administration - Organizational Leadership. While completing my education, I have gained career experience in higher education. Currently, I am a Program Manager for the TRiO Student Support Services STEM grant that serves 120 first-generation, low-income, and students with disabilities to achieve an associate\'s and transfer to a four-year university.I have over 10 years working in Higher Education serving students in various capacities. I advise students on their academics, financial literacy, and career. I connect students to multiple resources within and outside my institution so that they are successful academically and personally. I provide opportunities for students to learn more about their intended major and career field through presentations and college and career trips. I help oversee on my campus a food pantry for students experiencing food insecurity. In addition to my full-time duties as a Program Manager, I am an adjunct faculty professor for Mathematics and Honors courses.I aspire to become a Director, Dean, and Vice President for a college institution. I continually build my skills and professional development to reach my goals and support students in a different capacity.
