ABOUT GUS SPANOS

After a much needed sabbatical, I am please to say that I am actively seeking to continue my career in Architecture. My passion for all things related to design professions has been reignited. I am more inspired than ever to engage in meaningful work after a refreshing intentional career pause. I am highly motivated to rejoin the workforce in a role that leverages my broad senior level skill set and experience.I am a talented team leader with strong design acumen, organizational and communication skills. I have brought to bear these skills most recently while working in a P3 project delivery environment for both health care and public safety projects. I have lead large project teams and stakeholder groups by collaborating and facilitating decisions on project vision, design, constructability, sustainability and multiple key project issues. I am able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders on large P3 and design-build multi-phase projects by speaking “their language.”I have worked in senior managerial roles as Senior Project Architect and Senior Project Manager; most recently completing two Buildings on a four building campus for the RCMP Division E Headquarters Consolidation Project. I am detail oriented but with a clear understanding of broader project issues and influences. I have over 30 years of national experience with a comprehensive understanding of building systems, structural, sustainable issues that inform day to day decision making. My broad experience on large scale projects includes, Cultural, Commercial, Research, Residential, Institutional etc.
