At UK Mission Enterprise Ltd, I was entrusted with setting up the Inventory Department from scratch, overseeing warehouse and inventory operations across multiple sites. I managed the end-to-end process, including goods-in, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch, ensuring seamless operations and optimal inventory levels while maintaining stock integrity and accuracy. I collaborated closely with internal departments and key stakeholders to meet operational goals and improve efficiency.A major achievement was successfully leading the project to implement a Warehouse Management System (WMS), maximising system functionality and establishing consistent stock maintenance standards. This system has been pivotal in streamlining operations and improving stock visibility across the business. Additionally, I spearheaded demand forecasting and supply planning efforts, anticipating client needs and aligning inventory levels accordingly to ensure availability and avoid overstocking.I developed and implemented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for demand planning, stock replenishment, and ordering processes, customising these procedures to fit varying warehouse/store layouts and capacities. I also created and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs), helping to track and drive operational efficiency, performance, and continuous improvement across the team.In my leadership role, I manage and mentor the inventory team, ensuring that all activities align with the company\'s vision of service excellence. My responsibilities extend to ensuring the accurate recording of stock movements, managing cycle counts and stocktakes, and conducting thorough analysis to identify and resolve stock discrepancies. Additionally, I address inventory integrity issues, pinpointing root causes related to operations or team behaviour and implementing corrective actions. I also conduct in-depth analysis of inventory shrinkage, developing strategies to reduce loss and ensure operational control.
