I am a transport infrastructure specialist with over 30 years of experience leading large-scale infrastructure projects. My focus is on transport solutions, procurement, and road asset management, working across Asia and Africa. I have successfully delivered projects under multilateral development frameworks, especially with the World Bank, using innovative models like Output and Performance-Based Contracts (OPRC) and Performance-Based Maintenance Contracts (PBMC).Key areas of expertise:(1) Road Asset Management: I have extensive experience in designing and managing OPRC and PBMC models that ensure efficient long-term maintenance of road networks. I have worked on key projects in Uganda, Ghana, Botswana, and India, improving connectivity and ensuring that roads are built to last while being cost-effective.(2) Procurement & Contract Management: I have deep knowledge of FIDIC contract management and procurement processes for projects funded by international organizations like the World Bank. This includes preparing bidding documents, managing tender processes, resolving contract issues, and ensuring all projects meet international standards while adapting to local conditions.(3) Public Sector Governance & Capacity Building: I have worked in, and with, governments to help strengthen their institutions by providing policy advice, designing capacity-building programs, and training teams on contract management and procurement best practices. I believe in building local expertise to manage and maintain infrastructure efficiently.
