ABOUT GURPREET JASWAL

As the President of Professional Staff Association at Joseph Brant Hospital & Foundation, I lead and represent over 300 physicians and dentists in advancing the quality and safety of patient care, education, and research. I also serve as the Stroke Lead and a General Internal Medicine Physician at the same hospital, where I apply my expertise in stroke and vascular disease management to improve health outcomes and reduce mortality and morbidity rates.I hold a Master of Health Science in Translational Research from the University of Toronto, where I focused on developing and evaluating educational interventions for patients and medical professionals on stroke symptoms, signs, risk factors, and hyperacute stroke management. I have won multiple awards and scholarships for my research and leadership, and I have published several papers and posters on stroke and internal medicine topics. My core competencies include medical education, internal medicine, and translational research. I am passionate about bridging the gap between research and practice, and empowering patients and providers with evidence-based knowledge and skills.
