About Gurleen Kaur
I\'m a third-year Electronics and Communication Engineering student passionate about turning theory into impactful real-world solutions. My interests lie at the intersection of VLSI design, embedded systems, and intelligent automation.Currently interning at ABB, I’ve had the chance to work hands-on with industrial control systems and gain practical exposure to how large-scale systems operate in real-world environments. I’m also exploring TinyML accelerators and designing FSM-based controllers for gesture recognition-blending machine learning with hardware.Beyond the classroom, I actively participate in tech teams and student chapters. I served as the Finance & Registration Team Head of ACM and Treasurer of MUJ ACM SIGBED Student Chapter,gaining experience in budgeting and event logistics. I’m also part of a quadcopter-based payload delivery and bridge inspection project, which merges embedded tech with aerial systems. Always curious and open to collaboration, I’m looking for opportunities that allow me to dive deeper into hardware design, system architecture, and innovation in edge computing.

Currently serving as the Treasurer for the ACM SIGBED Student Chapter, where I’m responsible for overseeing the financial planning and budgeting of chapter activities. My role involves managing funds, maintaining transparent records of expenses, and ensuring efficient allocation of resources for events, workshops, and student initiatives.In addition to handling finances, I actively collaborate with core team members to plan and execute technical events that promote embedded systems and real-time computing. This position is helping me strengthen my skills in financial management, organisation, and team coordination, while also contributing to a community passionate about innovation in embedded and cyber-physical systems.
