About Gurleen Kahlon

Gurleen Kahlon is a litigation associate at Barnes & Thornburg LLP and a proud graduate of IU Maurer School of Law.Driven by her determination and commitment, Gurleen graduated early from undergrad — two years ahead of the traditional four-years plan. She was the recipient of the IUPUI Top 100 Student Award for excellence in academics, campus leadership, and community engagement. At IU Maurer, Gurleen honed her leadership skills on the Dean’s Advisory Board and Student Bar Association. She further showcased her commitment to fostering an inclusive legal community. Gurleen began her legal career in Washington, D.C, practicing as a litigation associate before returning to Indiana. In addition to her legal role, Gurleen is actively involved in the mental health space. She worked with a psychiatrist and played a pivotal role in developing educational modules for the innovative mental-health app, Focus Genie. Gurleen also serves on the Board of the Fort Wayne Museum of Art and the New Lawyer’s Section of the Allen County Bar Association, reflecting her dedication to mentorship and community engagement. With a multifaceted background that spans legal expertise, leadership, and mental health advocacy, Gurleen Kahlon is excited to make strong connections and make her impact in the legal sphere.

   I represent clients in insurance coverage disputes and complex commercial litigation, managing matters from early case evaluation through resolution.My practice includes drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, leading discovery strategy and production, conducting depositions, and advocating in hearings and mediations. I regularly assess risk, evaluate exposure, and develop litigation strategies aligned with each client’s business objectives.I focus on distilling complex disputes into clear, actionable paths forward and driving matters efficiently toward resolution. I approach each matter with a commitment to collaboration, responsiveness, and practical problem-solving. My goal is to help clients navigate litigation while staying focused on what matters most to their business.
