The Audiologic and Psychological Research program focusses on improving the lives of hard-of-hearing listeners and their loved ones through innovation. Our mandate is to develop and execute medium and long-term innovation projects in applied R&D, basic science, and delivery of clinical services. Current projects focus on the audiologic consequences of listening to signals that contain or evoke emotional responses, emerging technologies (eg, teleaudiology, the application of in-situ momentary assessments in audiology, crowdsourcing), and factors that contribute to judgment and decision-making in patients and practitioners.
