My role includes-• Review, track, and validate client contracts for corporate commercial banking (e.g, credit agreements, commitment letters, and other banking agreements) to ensure seamless implementation of credit agreements.• Actively adhere to Scotiabank’s Values and Code of Conduct, ensuring the adequacy, adherence, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet operational, compliance, AML/ATF, sanctions, and conduct risk obligations.• Ensuring operational implementation of the credit agreements for commercial and global corporate banking and ensuring that the terms and conditions of the credit agreements are being complied with.• Conduct reviews and audits of deals, facilities, and loan setups to ensure accurate setup in the banking system by studying credit agreements and other relevant documents. Coordinate with the operations team to resolve discrepancies.• Review constitutional, KYC, and facility documents of borrowers for disbursement of credit facilities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and other internal guidelines. • Support solution development and business analysis, conduct research on applicable legislation, review documentation, and regularly report updates to senior management.• Issue letters, including audit confirmations, dues, and loan letters, to clients for statutory or non-statutory purposes.• Maintain presentations and dashboards to inform the line of business and enterprise program offices on project status.• Establish and update training materials, reference documents, and workflow charts for the reference of other employees.• Supporting other administrative tasks of a corporate and commercial banking team, as assigned.
