About Gurekta Sethi
I am an educationist with a postgraduate degree in Early Years Education from University College London (UCL), UK. My experience spans teaching and developing educational products, curriculum, and content specifically for primary and pre-primary children. I have created content for a variety of formats, including educational apps, children’s magazines, school textbooks, workbooks, and interactive games. Currently, I am leading the development of a play-based preschool curriculum for Toddle Play, a new early years product by Toddle. I am well-versed in the IB PYP Early Years framework, the EYFS, and inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy of child-centered learning. My core interest lies in curriculum design that empowers young learners. At UCL, my research thesis focused on experiential, inquiry-based curricula aimed at helping children become self-reliant while supporting the development of their socio-cultural identities during their formative years.
