As a Retail Supervisor, I am playing a vital role in making consistently high standards in Sainsbury’s products and services. My job duties include a high level of responsibility in leading, developing, motivating and assisting colleagues in everything from stock replenishment to food safety, customer service, setting up displays and driving sales to ensure that the every area of store is fully stocked up ready for trading the next day. Deputizing in the absence of shift managers.• Responsible to co-ordinate the retail services while maintaining consistent high standards in Sainsbury’s products and services in accordance to company’s wide policies.• Responsible to assign duties, supervise and assist Sainsbury’s colleagues in everything from stock replenishment to food safety and excellent customer services.• Responsible to monitor and make sure that colleagues follow food safety and sanitation principles and alcohol regulations as per company’s standards.• Supervise and co-ordinate sales staff and cashiers and assign sales workers to duties and prepare work schedules in weekly and monthly manner.• Responsible to handle and resolve problems that arise at work such as customer’s complaints, serious issues at work and supply shortages.• Recruit and train or arrange for the training of new sales staff.
