I am a Molecular Biology student at the University of Toronto Mississauga with a strong interest in pursuing a career in medicine and improving patient-centred care. My experience combines clinical exposure, mental health support, and student leadership, allowing me to work comfortably in fast-paced and high-responsibility environments.At St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, I support patients in the endoscopy unit by assisting with mobility, monitoring comfort, and coordinating with nurses and physicians to ensure safe and efficient care. As a Crisis Counselor, I provide real-time emotional support and safety planning for individuals in distress, strengthening my communication, empathy, and decision-making skills under pressure. Alongside clinical work, I lead health education initiatives on campus, organizing medical seminars, wellness workshops, and outreach programs focused on awareness and prevention.I am motivated by meaningful patient interaction, teamwork, and continuous learning, and I hope to contribute to healthcare through compassionate care, advocacy, and evidence-based practice.
