Om started his career with farm machinery major John Deere as a Management trainee and graduated to become section manager- marketing in the process of being a pioneer member in Sugarcane Harvester journey of John Deere in India. Om participated in various aspects of \"Go to market\" strategy of this product. He has joined Bayer as a market development manager for one of emerging brand \"Surpass\" in Maharashtra markets. He has successfully led the \"Surpass\" brand building in challenging Khandesh market of Maharashtra through micro level planning and grass root execution. He is currently a crop lead for Rice crop portfolio of SeedWorks; one of the leading player in Rice domain having legacy in vegetable seed business. Prior to this role Om has successfully handled the Cotton crop lead role, where company has grown 3X in terms of cotton seed volumes. Om is responsible for handling P&L of the crop with sight on business excellence initiatives in the crop. Some of the core aspects of this role includes long range plans development, strategic initiatives, marketing plan, budgeting and forecasting, market research, new product launch while collaborating with other stakeholders on critical planning and execution projects. Om is an alumni of NAARM, Hyderabad and Pantnagar University, Uttrakhand. Om is known as a collaborative team player and for his data driven approach; and he has learnt to adapt very quickly in his previous roles in different domains and geographies. He likes to read novels and travel in his leisure time.
