ABOUT KALPIT GUPTA
My work focuses on the decisions that shape how businesses deploy capital, scale operations, and create long-term value.I began my career in the M&A and transaction advisory ecosystem, working closely with founders, private equity investors, and promoter families on complex capital decisions. Training first at Dhruva Advisors and later within PwC’s Deal Advisory practice gave me early exposure to large cross-border transactions and the financial architecture that underpins them.At PwC, I worked across multiple mid-to-large-cap M&A transactions with an aggregate value exceeding $3 billion, advising global private equity funds and strategic buyers. The work ranged from diligence and structuring to resolving complex issues between buyers, promoters, and advisors under tight deal timelines. After several years in advisory, I wanted to move closer to operating decisions inside a business. I joined Shipsy, a global logistics SaaS company, where I now work within the CEO-led strategy office on commercial strategy, capital efficiency, and global expansion initiatives. My role involves coordinating cross-regional strategy across Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Australia, supporting investor communication with institutional shareholders, and building internal systems that improve revenue predictability and operational discipline as the company scales toward an IPO trajectory.Outside work, I spend time mentoring students through CRY, speaking at government training programs for revenue officers, and exploring high-adrenaline outdoor sports including scuba diving, cliff jumping and surfing.
