ABOUT GUNNAR GROEBLER
People, steel and technology - that is what drives us at Salzgitter AG. Together with my more than colleagues, I am working on the biggest transformation in our company\'s history: the decarbonisation of steel production. I have now been working for the steel and technology group since 2021. The goal of our \"Salzgitter AG 2030\" strategy is to future-proof Salzgitter AG and establish it as a leading company in the circular economy. Through closed energy systems and material cycles, we are minimising the use of finite resources and recognising our responsibility towards society and future generations – already making us a pioneer in CO2-neutral steel production. But we know that this transformation towards a sustainable industry will only succeed through close cooperation with strong partners and networks. Together, we want to provide the necessary impetus for change to drive this process forward both economically and successfully – or as we also like to put it: It takes new thinking for a new industry!
