Development of Machine Learning based Merged Water Vapor using Multi-Satellite DataKey Contributions & Responsibilities: Developed a machine learning pipeline** to predict water vapor concentrations using **SSMIS satellite data and ground station observations. Processed and cleaned large-scale satellite datasets, handling missing values, filtering invalid data, and reshaping geospatial grids. Integrated temporal data, converting fractional time values into timestamps for improved time-aware predictions. Implemented a geospatial data extraction workflow, creating latitude-longitude grids and mapping water vapor values for accurate predictions. Optimized satellite data processing using vectorized operations with NumPy and Pandas to improve efficiency. Automated structured data storage using HDF5 and CSV formats, ensuring easy access and retrieval of processed satellite predictions. Designed a data pipeline that extracts, transforms, and saves satellite observations for further analysis and modeling.
